Beauty Tip: An interesting way to use essential oil in bath
From Ellen, VIC.
If you are afraid that the essential oil does not disperse well in the bath tub, you can add it to a small tub of coffee creamer first, then add that into the bath.
Thanks Ellen for her tip! Ellen will receive a voucher for an essential oil of her choice.

Beauty Tip: Creamy addition to the clay mask~
From Jade, NSW.
I found the clay mask dries fairly quickly with adding only the toner, so I tried adding some face cream to it, and it does stay moist a bit longer and the texture is really good! - Top - |
Beauty Tip: Less is more!! Suitable moisturiser for summer.
Is the winter moisturiser too rich and oily for summer? Before you rush out to the store and get another bottle, try this first!! Squeeze some moisturiser (about one third ~ half of the amount that you would normally use) into the palm of your hand. Add a few drops of Fragrance Bar Daily Toner or spring water and work them together then apply

Beauty Tip: Lip balm first!
Do you always put on lipstick last when you do your makeup? And find your lips dry and rough that lines are so obvious when lipstick is applied?
The tip is, smear some lip balm onto your lips before you put on foundation and powder, so by the end you will have well moisturised lips that is ready to take on the lipstick and look beautiful. No lines! - Top - |
Beauty Tips: ~ Nail tips ~
Nail yellowing can be caused by the pigments in nail polish and the chemical damage caused by the harsh and toxic chemicals in both nail polish and remover. Nail polish removers are detrimental to nail health because any kind of remover, acetone or not, they strip and leech the nail of its healthy oil/moisture balance.
By applying nail and cuticle nourish on nails after using the nail polish remover, the oil/moisture balance within the structure of your nails can be restored and will prevent nail layers from separating, thereby preventing any splitting, peeling and layering of the nail.
Never peel or scrape off nail polish or use metal instruments on the nail surface to push back the cuticles. This can scrape off the protective cells of the nail surface.
The cuticle protects the nail root from bacteria. Instead of cutting the cuticle, it can be softened by soaking in warm water or applying nail and cuticle nourish, and then pushed back gently with a rosewood stick or rubber-tipped cuticle-pusher. However, should the cuticle be hard and dry and sticking up, slightly trimming it is justifiable, but never remove the whole thing.
Always wash your hands with soap to remove any residual traces of nail polish remover before applying any kind of hand care product.

Question : How to apply a moisturiser?
Answer: Normally you would think that you can just slap on the moisturiser whenever you like, but the truth is, there is a more efficient way of using moisturisers.
Before you apply a moisturiser to any part of you body, spray a little bit of water on the area to be applied and pat it dry with your hands, and then apply the moisturiser. This enables you to maximise and retain the water content in your skin, which is essential for the bright and supple looking of the skin. - Top - |
Question : What is body butter? When do I use it?
Answer: Body butter is very rich moisturiser that comes in a firm solid form, and when it is applied onto the skin, the body temperature melts it and turns it into a liquid moisturiser.
It is particularly suitable for using in winter times as it protects the skin from cold damage. People who has very dry skin can also benefit from using body butters as it helps sealing in the moisture in the skin
Body butter tip: avoid keeping body butters in warm places, and it could melt and go off. - Top - |
